The Doctors

Known to you by name.

Halsa is founded and led by its doctors. The people responsible for your care are the people who built the practice.

The Halsa founding team
Dr Damon Jackson

Dr Damon Jackson

Cardiology

A general cardiologist and cardiac imaging specialist, Damon's particular interest is preventative cardiovascular medicine and risk assessment. He believes care should be deeply personal, and that patients are best served when they hold their own health data: understanding it, questioning it, and directing what happens next. His conviction, and the one Halsa is built on, is simple. Healthcare should be efficient, frictionless, and built entirely around the person it serves.

Dr Nish Balakrishnan

Dr Nish Balakrishnan

General Practice

A GP and clinic owner of thirteen years, Nish is convinced that good medical care and truly optimised health are not the same thing. Australian healthcare does much well, but it is built for volume, not the individual. For Nish, care begins with knowing you as a person rather than a patient. His focus is proactive screening, precise diagnosis and targeted therapy, with an emphasis on longevity and performance, and he lives this way himself, with family always at the centre.

Dr Manda Raz

Dr Manda Raz

General Practice

A GP, researcher and author with a background in both medicine and law, Manda is preoccupied with longevity: extending not simply lifespan but healthspan, keeping people capable and engaged throughout their lives. His work sits where clinical medicine meets emerging science, translating advances in longevity research into practical, personal care. He is committed to rethinking how medicine approaches ageing, and to building a future where prevention sits at the centre of care.

Josh Wilmot

Josh Wilmot

Chief Strategist

A cardiac technologist and sonographer of eighteen years, across public and private care, Josh brings a deep appreciation for proactive, personal healthcare. He believes Australian medicine has a real opportunity to prevent disease, identify risk earlier, and give people a clearer understanding of their health, their results and their options. He lives on the Mornington Peninsula, where family, sport and time outdoors keep him grounded, and where his own commitment to prevention shapes how he thinks about care.
